The vouch statement is cryptographically signed with the key on this phone and published publicly on the Internet
The published statement includes:
- Tom's public key
- Signature made by this phone's private identity key
- Internet location where Tom's identity key's statements are hosted

Create delegate key, yes

No, we don't need another incompatible network / social app.
We want to make our network accessible to all the apps we like (Reddit, Uber, Airbnb, VRBO, Twitters, NYT, WSJ, etc..)
When you scan someone's phone, you're not buiding the Nerdster network. Any service can find, collect, store, share, replicate, and aggregate our portable signed statements.
X is never going to leverage Facebook's network, right?
What's different? And How?

Tech talk shows more: Identity layer can be leveraged by any service, same identities anywhere (Airbnb, Ebay, Reddit, NYT comments..). Those services can facilitate follow, block, or whatever those services choose referencing ..

Done using identity app. Nerdster doesn't have identity key. That's what the delegate business is for - to allow 100s or 1,000s... of services to leverage our identity network without giving any the private component of our identity key.
Eyal no longer exists in Demo phone's network (or those who vouch for Demo phone) - Decentralized

HabloTengo demonstrates that our own, open, decentralized identity network can also support privacy.
HabloTengo reads and verifies published identity signed statements to figure out who Hillel would allow to view his contact info.
The Nerdster doesn't have to have its own messenger - we have plenty of those - as long as we know who's who.

PEOPLE: Tom - The vouch (trust statement) is signed by my identity key. Tom is human and goes by "Tom". If Tom loses his key or has it compromised, I'll help him out. I know who he is.
SERVICES: me@nerdster.org - my delegate key on the Nerdster - the key I handed the Nerdster to use it as a tool to state stuff on my behalf. The delegation is signed by my identity key.
EXPORT: your keys.
ADVANCED: manage blocks, replace keys, ...

Break the algorithm monopoly of our metadata silos.

Litter the Internet with statements signed by our own keys grounded in our identities rather than pseudonymous and disconnected in siloed accounts.
