Spotify wouldn't have to be as naked as the Nerdster to do this. For example, I wouldn't want you to know exactly what I was rocking out to at 3 AM last night. But it could, for example, offer you to publish signed statements about your most played artists weekly.
Pandora in turn could collect your network of follows from a variety of sources (like even the Nerdster, haha;).
